Connecting rod for the HDE 9000SA-SA3 diesel generator 1/3

USE / INSTALLATION / OPERATION

1. Remove the cylinder head, oil sump, and piston according to the service procedure.
2. Unscrew the connecting rod big-end cap bolts, remove the cap, and remove the connecting rod from the crankshaft.
3. Before installing the new connecting rod, check the condition of the piston pin and crankshaft journal.
4. Fit the new connecting rod onto the crankshaft journal and install the cap according to the stamped pairing number.
5. Tighten the cap bolts to the specified torque.
6. Check that the connecting rod moves freely without excessive play or stiffness.

Installation requires experience with complete engine overhauls and a torque wrench. An incorrectly tightened or mismatched connecting rod big-end cap can cause serious engine damage.
